February was a good month of fishing for us. We started here, at Como, and made our way around Walworth County. Truth be told, como is so shallow (max of 9-10 feet), it's not a lake we hit very often, but we gave it a shot. The pike have made their way from deeper water to the shallows, and the bite was good. The ice was a consistent 9-inches everywhere we looked. Not a bad day of fishing.
The best bass fishing in the state
by Nathan F

The bass fishing in Lake Como is the best in the state. A 5lb bass is not a huge fish here. If there is a state record bass out there it's in Lake Como. The best place to fish in spring is the bay on thee east side of the lake. The rest of the year try the "slop" weeds or the weed edges. Plastic worms, golden shiners, and weedless jigs are the best baits you could try here. I hope to see one of you catch the next state record bass. Good luck fishing!
