If you like catching fat fish you might want to give George Lake a try. The really large population of gizzard shad is what makes the fish grow so big. As far as the actual fish you will find in Lake George go there are huge muskies, big bass, nice walleyes, good catfish, and above average panfish. In the spring fish the up river part of the lake, under the dam, and fallen trees. The rest of the year think about fishing near weed lines, drop offs, and over the main lake. You should consider trying crank baits, spinners, and soft plastics. Good luck fishing!
