Fishing Lake McLeansboro
by Nathan F
on May 21st
The fishery in Lake McLeansboro is doing rather well lately. You will find lots of 2-3lbs bass with a few big ones mixed in, 30-50lbs flathead catfish that are not uncommon, tons of bluegills under 8 inches, and decent crappies. Early in the fishing season try fishing the shallow bays, fallen trees, feeder creeks, and boat docks. Think about fishing weed lines, drop offs, fallen trees, and boat docks. Jigs, live bait, and soft plastics are all good baits. Good luck fishing!
