Fishing Tips for Lake Nacogdoches

on November 11th
If you like fishing for lots of nice bass which can grow bigger than 13lbs than you may want to check out Lake Nacogdoches. One of the reasons that help the bass fishery be what it is, is the fact that there is a special regulation for the lake that only lets you keep fish less than 16 inches. If you are not really a bass guy you can check out the really nice bluegill/sunfish fishery. The only downside to Lake Nacogdoches is the fact that there really isn’t much of a catfish or crappie fishery. If you are still interested in fishing here try fishing the creeks, wood, and weeds with jigs, soft plastics, live bait, and spinners in the spring. The rest of the year try fishing points, the deep creek channels, weed edges, drop offs, and main lake bait schools (bass) with crank baits, spinners, soft plastics, live bait, topwaters, and crankbaits. Good luck fishing!
