Little Luckiamute River near Monmouth, Oregon
Little Luckiamute River is a great cutthroat trout stream for the first few months of the season. Good roads follow and cross the stream, providing great access, but public fishing spots are limited. When you do find a spot to fish use artificial lures or flies for the 6-13 inch wild cutthroat trout that inhabit the river. The river opens in late May to protect young steelheads.
