The REAL Truth About McCay Lake
4/30/2017 4:00 PM
McCay Lake actually goes by the name of either Holiday Lake or Little Sugarland Lake. Having lived on this lake and the larger Sugarland Lake (which Little Sugarland feeds into) for nearly 40 years, I have caught my fair share of fish. There is plentiful fish in both lakes, actually over populated. Whether fishing from a small boat, shoreline fishing, trotlines or other means, you will catch more than your limit. The lake is abounding in a great variety of largemouth, spot and striped bass, crappie, different species of bluegill (or bream as we call them), various species of catfish and yellow (lake) perch. The fish are always biting, regardless of what the other comment says!
