Mercer County Lake near Princeton Junction, New Jersey
Lake Mercer is an all-around nice lake in every sense of the word. The lake is 300 acres so it’s perfect for small boat anglers but shore anglers can also catch fish here. If you don't have your own boat you can rent one from the marina.
The abundance of weeds found here make the bass and pickerel fishery the main draw of the lake. You can also catch muskies, bullheads, perch, panfish, catfish, and carp here. The best way to catch fish here is by fishing with jerkbaits, spinners, topwaters, soft plastics, live bait, stink bait (catfish), dough balls (carp), dead fish (catfish), jigs, and jerkbaits near weedlines, drop offs, submerged timber, and anything else that looks "fishy".
Have fun fishing!
