Mooneys Bay

on January 29th

Mooneys Bay is mostly for hanging out and catching the sun if you are looking to fish here bring a canoe or dinghy an get past the swimming boundaries. From here the water levels stay pretty low maybe around 15 feet or so and some trolling would be a good idea or just casting from the boat. In either case you'll be seeing brown trout, rainbow trout and perhaps a lake trout that has made its way in. Use some dive baits and swim them around the boat, the trout will be hitting the bait from behind and on a pause in your reel so pause the bait every so often and let it sit, the trout will hit on the vulnerable bait.

Location Details
Species Caught: Rainbow Trout
