Morgan Lake near La Grande, Oregon
A former gravel pit, Morgan Lake offers excellent rainbow trout with trophy potential as well as a few panfish and bullheads. The average trout is 9-12 inches. From opening (end of April) through early summer is the best time to fish here. You can also catch decent fish in the fall as well. You can't use motors here but small, you power, boats are fine. Bait fishing works the best but casting lures will also work.
