Mud Lake near Alexandria Bay, New York
Even though the Mud Lake is shallow (17 foot max) and really murky there are nice fish to be caught here including pike averageing 6-8lbs and nice panfish. Try fishing shallow bays, weeds, shallow rocks, inlets, outlets, and fallen trees early in the year and deep holes, fallen trees, weed lines, and weed pockets. Spinners, soft plastics, top waters, spoons, jigs, live bait, and crank baits all work well. Good luck fishing!
