In the upper reaches of these rivers largemouths will school together and hold in deeper areas. A popular technique is to work deep diving crankbaits through the pools in river bends. Don’t forget to fish off of grasses edges and through cypress knees.

Stripers

Casting lead head jigs with a soft plastic tail around bridge pilings is a sure way to get a bite. Try trolling jigs or bucktails along steep drop-offs is also a great way to locate stripers, while allowing you to cover a lot of water.
