Occoquan River near Woodbridge, Virginia
My brother and I hit the water early to see what was out there, we went back up under the 123 bridge and got pretty much nothing. 1 channel cat and it was over. We worked our way back down and under the route 1 bridge and it started going. We were using night crawlers and cut bait. The cats averaged 3-5lbs. Slowed down once again so we went deeper. Head out off the small island just right of Sandy's Point Beach. Fishing got hot again, caught channel's, flat head's and Blue cats all around the island for about 2 hours, 4-8lbs, finished up about 11am. That point to hot and called it a day. Total 27 cats, 3 white perch, 1 bluegill. good morning of fishing.
