Fishing Tips for Patagonia Lake

on March 15th

The fishing in Patagonia Lake is not the best in the area but there are good fish to be caught here. You can find nice largemouth bass, crappies, catfish, and sunfish year round. As well as trout that are stocked every 3 weeks during the winter. The best way to catch bass is to flip or pitch soft plastics in the Tule Grass. Spinnerbaits, drop shots, and weedless shakyhead jigs work for bass very well but they will also catch almost every other specie found in the lake. If you have a kid that wants to catch loads of sunfish try fishing the weeds with worms or grubs under a bobber. Stink baits are night work the best for catfish. Power Bait, worms, spinners like Mepps and Rooster tails, corn, and salmon eggs fished in the winter for trout work well. Tight Lines!
