Fishing off Pleasant Beach

on December 28th

Aren't many fish off the beach front. The waters get fairly sandy but you'll find the trout and pike swimming about 20 meters off land, dinghy would be needed to get past the beach's sandy floor. After that some trolling rigs, plastic swim baits, diving spoons, large kokanee spoons and rapala jakes are best. Trolled around 3 km's here and hooked some good northerns. Aimed our rod tips nearly directly up, allowed them to bob and the bait swam perfectly. Low wind day and the skies were overcast. Found the pike diving deep on warmer days and had to fish the bays.
