Raccoon Lake is you're average IL lake with decent bass, ok panfish, and fair catfish. You will find fish around small shallow bays, near fallen trees, and in the shallow water on the east side of the lake, early in the year. Latter in the year consider fishing around weed lines, fallen trees, and the deepest water you can find. I would consider using soft plastics, weedless jigs, and live bait. Good luck fishing!
