The lake is beautiful and the scenery around it wonderful....

on May 17th

The lake is beautiful and the scenery around it wonderful. We fished on Saturday. Caught a couple of small ones. Problem is, there are tons of four wheelers everywhere, plus a couple of idiots shooting guns without a backstop toward the water. Hard to find a place to fish because there are few turnoffs. You can fish the dam but the rocks are smaller and a pain to navigate. Lots of snags because the water is up from previous years. If you walk the dam there is a great spot on the south end. Used to fish there as a kid.

Red Creek Reservoir

on April 20th

The best time to fish this reservoir is right after ice out when the action is hot and heavy. Fishing with bait works the best but that is not to say you won't catch anything casting lures or flies. The fishing slows down in the summer, but picks back up in late fall as the water cools down. Special Regulations: The lake is closed January 1 to 6:00 May 1.
