Fishing Red Creek

on July 18th

I fished Red Creek in Highland Park where the creek empties into the Erie Cannal. I caught a small Pike within 5 minutes off of a Firetiger color jointed Rapala. It is a small creek so the bigger fish from the canal may not enter but I am sure there is more than just Pike in there. This location is directly under the Rte. 390 overpass. A spot to fish directly in the canal is just a couple minute walk from Red Creek. The Genesee River also intersects with the canal nearby but I have not found good access to the river yet.

Location Details
Species Caught: Northern Pike
Length: 10in.
