Simpson Lake

on December 11th

This lake is fed by a large stream to the N/W side. You can expect some bass and trout to be hanging out here and most likely find a spawning ground so be careful out of season and give respect to the obvious signs of spawning. When in season, throw some top water chuck baits and froggies around until you snag a few bass or trout. Local fly shops will provide you with the popular larvae for the season and you can always throw those up the creek and let them come back down into Simpson Lake. If the mouth of the creek doesn't provide action try the shoreline of the lake using the same techniques.
