Square Lake Port Orchard

Nice, Small Lake. Been there twice for about 2 hours this week. Weedless baits will work best at the entire lake has about 30 feet of lilypads around the entire shore. alot of fish on the beds right now under the cover of the lilypads. Caught several Sunfish/bluegills etc in the lilypads on nightcrawler and "round" bobbers but be prepared to fight STRONG foilage to wrestle thru the lilypads every cast. There is a Cleared avenue to fish from the closest beaverdam. Walk out via logs and dryer grass. Water is extremely clear so flourocarbon line is a good bet. Used to be stocked with trout, and theres also catfish but i caught neither of those yet. If you want to use a 1-3 person boat like a canoe or john boat or kayak that would work if it has a shallow draft, as there is no boat launch that i saw. unless u fish from the beaver dam cleared area or clear your own fishing lane somehow, id recomend 12-15 lb test to fish the lilypads each cast.

Species Caught: Smallmouth Bass
