Stave Lake is 5358 ha with a max depth of 101 m and a mean depth of 34.8 m. Dolly Varden and steelhead are stocked to supplement the Rainbow, Kokanee, and Cutthroat. Fishing is good year-round. This is a huge lake that requires a boat. Be careful though, this lake can get really rough really fast. The large size of the lake is beneficial to anglers though, the trout (especially cutthroat trout) grow BIG!
