Thompsons Creek

on February 9th

Find some catfish, trout and bass on Thompsons. Saw the catfish hitting on some of our trout dough baits and some of the salmon egg bundles we had. It was frustrating cuz we wanted to hit on some trout for lunch, ended up releasing the catfish we hooked (this was last summer). The bass were hitting on top water baits, brought out some froggies, jitterbugs and a 6 piece chuck it kit. The creek runs pretty long and ends up feeding into a small pond about 1 km west. The pond didn't provide much fishing opportunity. As for the trout we eventually got a hit from a rainbow but it popped off, used a fly bait, ran it down stream and reeled and paused back to the shoreline, it hit on the pause as usual. Spin rods and reels with mono filament lines, cheers!
