Tombstone Bay near Ketchikan, Alaska
I was stationed at Tombstone Bay during the summers years ago. I worked for the USFWS as a stream guard. This required walking Tombstone Creek and patrolling the surrounding waters for Salmon runs. Tombstone Creek had great numbers of Chum and Humpback Salmon and some Steelhead and Coho. When I had time to fish I caught great numbers of Dolly Varden (15-22") and a few Steelhead and lots of humpies (one Steelhead I had on and got to shore before it busted off was the biggest I have ever seen). Unfortunately I used a spinning rod and wobbleight lures. I wish I could fish there again with a fly rod.
