Vedan Lake is 307.17 ha with a max depth of 23.16 m and a mean depth of 12.6 m. Fishing pressure is low for wild rainbows that average 2lbs and run to 5lbs and fantastic bull trout up to 15lbs. Trolling is both popular and effective June through September. The lake is usually iced over from November through May.
