Fishing Tips for White Lake

on September 15th

White Lake contains something a lot of lakes in the area do not have, Lake Trout (picture). You can also find ok brown trout, a few brook trout, decent bass, and fair panfish swimming in the lake. During the spawning season it is a wise move to fish the feeder creek, rocks/gravel in about 4-20 feet of water, weed flats, and fallen trees with jigs, spawn sacks, soft plastics, spinners, and live/dead bait. The rest of the year the trout move out to the deep holes to feed on bait fish and can be caught on spinners, spoons, crank baits, jigs, jigging spoons, and live/cut/dead bait If you are after the warm water fish you can find them near fallen trees, “slop” weeds, drop offs, and weed lines feeding on spinners, crank baits, top waters, live bait, soft plastics, and spoons. Good luck fishing! Photo from Photobucket.com
