Turn around near the dam. All the fish you could want, you just have to pick them out of the water. 500 dead 3 to 4 pound largemouth bass. Wildwood Lake Association that controls the dam violated their state permit by draining the lake down over 7 feet resulting in a devastating fish die off.

We went in the later afternoon and after a few hours of catching a TON of bluegill, we caught two 10-12 inch bullhead catfish! It was a surprise because we didn't think they were in Wildwood. It's a nice little place to fish from shore, and would be fun for taking kids out because you can sit right on the side of the road. The downfall is the traffic, but the fish don't seem to mind much. We were just using worms/crawlers and never went more than 10 minutes without somebody catching at least a bluegill. Had a nice bass on the line, but it got off due to personal fault. :( Had a good day though! Caught probably 20 bluegill in a few hours. Bring bug spray, though!

Other than a few holes that dip down to 15 feet most of Wildwood is shallow. That might be why the fishery is limited to small bass, 6-8 inch panfish, and a few pike. I would skip this lake. Tight Lines!
