This campground was surrounded by the Rodeo-Chediski Fire in the summer of 2002. The inside loop of the campground has large, green ponderosa pine trees and was not impacted by the fire. The area around the campground was severely burned during the fire. The burned area presents various safety hazards, including stump holes, and falling limbs and trees.
