About the Campground
Lone Pine Campground is for group reservations only. It is generally open early-May thru mid-October.
Lone Pine Group Campground is an entire area to reserve for your family reunion, wedding or company function. There are 11 campsites accommodating up to 110 people, several with small extended tent sites. There are vault toilets, water spigots, a five-table group picnic site with a large fire ring, a grass volleyball court, and horseshoe pits. Exclusive use of a pavilion with large barbecue grill, electrical outlets, serving counter and sink are included with rental of the campground. Adjacent to Lone Pine is the 1-mile long Sawmill Trail that winds through the forest and gives trail users a glimpse back in time when this area was home to a large-scale lumber mill. There are no RV hookups of any kind within Lone Pine.
Recreational opportunities nearby include: salmon and steelhead fishing and whitewater rafting/kayaking on the Wild and Scenic North Umpqua River; mountain biking and hiking on the 80-mile long North Umpqua Trail; waterfall hiking trails; and self guided tours of the Rock Creek Fish Hatchery.
Millpond Campground across the street has a very large pavilion and softball field that may also be rented. Another Roseburg District BLM facility is available for overnight group camping. See Eagleview Group Campground at recreation.gov for further details.
