About the Campground

Flaming Gorge Corporation operates this campground under a Special Use Permit from the US Forest Service. At 6100' and near the shore of the Flaming Gorge Reservoir, this area is representative of a high desert community. Typical weather ranges from warm days to cool nights. There are a total of 143 single-family sites and 4 double-family sites. Most campsites have a fire ring, cabana, and a picnic table. The campground area offers a boat ramp, marina, fish cleaning station, bathrooms, potable water, and a dump station. An amphitheater with 120 bleacher seats and screen support is available for interpretive programs. Services in the area include: LucerneValley Marina (435) 784-3483 - boat rentals, gas, slips, licenses, tackle and groceries. Loops B, C, D, & E & Group sites 1 - 4 are reserveable, Loops A, F, G are all first-come, first-serve.

Alerts and Important Information Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. All vehicles must fit on designated parking spur. Potable water available from April 1 - November 1. No refunds for bad weather. This campground Is located in the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area (FGNRA). Vehicles must display a Recreation Fee Pass outside of the campground if using other recreational facilities (e.g. boat ramps, picnic areas, day use areas). Passes can be purchased from visitor centers, campground managers, and local businesses. The holder of A Golden Passport is not required to purchase a Recreation Fee Pass If the passport is displayed on the vehicle dash. This campground has 70 first come first serve sites. Dog must be on leashes at all times. Quiet hours 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Group camping area have a shaded area consisting of a roofed dining area. There are no trees or camping shade,
