About the Campground

Theater in the Pines is a group campsite located at an elevation of 7600 feet, along the Beautiful Alpine Loop Scenic Byway. There are gorgeous views of the surrounding peaks, abundant wildlife, and stunning wildflowers. Campers will find plenty to keep them occupied during their stay, the trailhead to the Aspen Grove Trail is located just outside the campground, with several other trails with in just a short distance. Cascade Springs, Deer Creek Reservoir, Tibble Fork Reservoir and the Timpanogos Cave National Monument are just a few of the surrounding attractions. The campsite is large enough for up to 150 people and is shaded with stands of aspens and fir trees. There is also a large grassy field and a large gravel parking area. A historic stone amphitheater is located at the site.

Alerts and Important Information Theater in the Pines amphitheater is currently under renovation and is not open to the public. Renovation work is expected to continue through the 2010 Season Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance Check-in with Host at Mt. Timpanogos Campground when you arrive A per-day extra vehicle fee will be collected on site Gates are locked from 10pm to 7am No ATV's, ORV's or horses allowed in the campground Highway 92 to get to the campground has a 30 foot vehicle length restriction Site capacity for people will be strictly enforced Main Phone: 801-785-3563 Campers must have a recreation pass before camping. Passes are available at entrance stations located on either side of the Alpine Scenic Loop (prices are per vehicle). 3-day passes are $6.00 7-day passes are $12.00 Annual Passes are $45.00
