Specialized rod and reel setups and unique custom 'anglineered' tackle are all parts of the fishing package. Reaching numerous trophy waters also requires careful attention to current conditions and maintaining a variety of watercraft fit for the job. ..As a multi-species traveling guide, I do ask for a minimum of 7 days advance booking in order to coordinate my schedule for a quality outing. Also of note, there is just one available seat in the small 12' boats as well as the canoe which applies to poor/carry-in access lakes and all river floats, including the Upper Saint Croix River trips which I will start in June. ..For lake trips, two guests can be accommodated in my 16' boat. In early May, I frequent open season bass lakes in nearby Wisconsin with day trips from the Twin Cities with high catch rates. From May 14th through May 27th, I will be stationed in Hayward Wisconsin. Excellent fishing for bass, northern pike and muskie is predictably had during this time with periodic 'boom' fish days over 50 fish boated.
