About the Campground
Lodgepole is located just 2 miles west of Lake Alpine at an elevation of 7,290 feet. The campground is an underdeveloped area situated on a large, open, flat plain. With Lake Alpine nearby, there is a wide variety of recreation opportunities, including low-speed boating, fishing, hiking, and boating. The local forest service offers interpretive programs during the summer months.
Reservations are available mid-June through Labor Day weekend. Reservations can be made up to 1 year in advance, but they must be made at least 4 days prior to your intended arrival date. Only the group sites are reservable, other sites are first-come, first-serve.
