About the Campground
Located high in the mountains at an elevation of 9,300 feet, the campground is set in an open conifer forest overlooking Lake Tahoe. With Lake Tahoe is just 9 miles west of the campground, popular activities include fishing, swimming and boating.
Hiking is also available; there are several trails in the area including the Tahoe Meadows Trail, Tahoe Rim Trail, Mt. Rose Wilderness Trail and Mt. Rose Summit Trail.
Reservations are available July through Labor Day weekend. Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance, but they must be made at least 5 days prior to your intended arrival date.

This campground has first-come, first-serve single family sites
A per-day, per-vehicle extra vehicle fee will be collected onsite beginning with the 2nd vehicle
Due to high elevation, campground open and close dates may vary due to bad weather. Travel over Mt. Rose Highway may be similarly affected.
CAUTION: Black bears frequent this area. All food must be kept in approved containers
