About the Campground

Paulina Lake is one of the most popular of the Newberry Monument campgrounds, partially because it is the first campground that you come to as you enter the monument area, partly because it has flush toilets which are always nice, and partly because of its easily accessible boat launch. There is a rustic resort next door where you can stock up on some last minute essentials or take a break and eat at their cafe'. Information about the area is available across the road from the campground and there are ample hiking trails to explore the lava flow or water falls close by. The campground has excellent sites for all forms of camping and plenty of large sites for luxury RVs. Many of the spurs are paved as well. There are four flush double toilet buildings and pressurized water spigots spread over the campground. This is one of the nicest campgrounds that we manage. Because of its popularity we try to keep this campground open as long as the weather permits. There is an RV dump station near the entry of Paulina Lake Campground. The fee is $10 (sorry, septic hauling fees have gone through the roof). We expect to have a host at the campground from about Memorial Day Weekend until Labor Day. 1 Campground Reviews for Paulina Lake - Bend, OR

Traveling Oregon Tour with Cheryl Crawford & Krysta Garrison

1-03-2016

Early September 2013 we left after Labor Day weekend ended. This was our First stop on our 5 day tour. Rather exciting first night we had heard there was a bear in camp when we arrived, but we never got to see him. I would have loved to get a pic of that. :) We got a camp spot right on the lake shore and slept under the stars. It was a beautiful Fall night I will always remember.
