About the Campground
Rising Star Campground is located on the Arkansas River by Pool 3 Lock and Dam. The area provides something for everyone whether it's camping, fishing, boating, or just relaxing in the sun. The Rising Star Campground offers 25 sites, 20 with electric and water hook ups. Additional amenities include hot showers, a dump station, public telephones, and a playground. Rising Star Park is located 12 miles from Pine Bluff. Pine Bluff is the home for the Arkansas Railroad Museum, Pine Bluff Regional Park, the Martha Mitchell Home, and other points of interest. Cotton is grown in the area. Rising Star Park is located in Pool 3 of the Arkansas River. There are generally mild winters and the summers have temperatures in the upper 90s with high humidity. Red fox are frequently seen in the park. Poisonous snakes are found in the area. The park is 193 ft above sea level. Shopping and groceries are available in Pine Bluff. Alerts and Important Information
The campground is open Mar-Oct and campsite fees are $8-$13/night. A Open from March 1, 2005 to Oct 31, 2005: RESERVATION SEASON FROM MAY 19 TO shelter may be reserved $35/day. Attendants are on duty 10am to 10pm. For SEPTEMBER 15. CAMPING OUTSIDE OF THIS PERIOD WILL BE FIRST COME FIRST campsites, check in time is 4pm and check out time is 2pm. For shelter, SERVE ONLY. check in time is 8am and check out time is 10pm. *Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.* The campground is open March through October. Campsite fees are $19.00/night. Attendants are on duty 11am to 9pm.
