About the Campground

Click here for more cabin information and maps. Winter travelers need to be able to evaluate avalanche and ice conditions. Same day reservations allowed. Open to over-snow motorized vehicles from December 1 to April 30 every other winter season beginning with the winter of 2007/2008. Closed to motorized vehicles every other winter season beginning with the 2008/2009 winter season. Closed to horse/pack stock from 4/1 to 6/30. The person holding the reservation must be 18. No commercial use allowed. 3 consecutive days maximum per person from 5/15 through 8/31. Maximum group size allowed is 8. Treat or boil water before consumption. Cabin is equipped with wooden bunks, table, benches, a stove for heat, and an outhouse. It sleeps 4 comfortably. Mattresses and cooking utensils are not provided. Cabin users should bring their own sleeping bags, pads, cook stoves, cooking gear, and food. Click here to visit the Forest Service website for more information. Occasionally poor weather can result in extended stays, and cabin users should be prepared for this. Effective November 17, 2003, reservations for Alaska cabins will be subject to a new policy allowing only one change per reservation. A change in reservation is defined as a modification to the start or end date of the reservation. After one change has been made, if additional changes are desired, the customer must cancel the reservation and at a later time, re-book the new dates. This policy has been established to assure that reservations for cabins are fair and equitable for everyone.

Alerts and Important Information This cabin will be closed for maintenance from 05/31/2010 through 06/01/2010 and from 09/04/2010 through 09/07/2010. Reservations can be made the day of arrival or up to 180 days in advance. If you cancel a cabin reservation within 14 days of your scheduled arrival date, you will be charged the $10.00 service fee and forfeit the first night's recreation use fee. No-shows, Early Departures, or Cancellations after the scheduled arrival date, are not entitled to a refund. Cancellations for single night use for Alaska cabins will not be assessed a service fee. All garbage and food must be packed out. Occasionally poor weather can result in extended stays, and cabin users should be prepared for this.
