About the Campground

At Blackwoods all sites are wooded and within a 10-minute walk of the ocean; no sites are located on the water. The majority of sites are for tents, small and large, but other sites accommodate pop-ups, vehicle campers, and RVs up to 35 feet (10.7 m). A maximum of one vehicle and six people is allowed at each site. There are no hook-ups. Campground facilities include comfort stations, cold running water, dump station, picnic tables, fire rings, and water faucets (facilities at Blackwoods differ in the winter). Seasonal showers and camping supply stores are located within 1/2 mile of the campground.

Alerts and Important Information If you are going to be later than 12pm (noon) on the day following your reservation, you must call 207-288-3274. Late arrivals who fail to call or check in will lose their site after 12pm (noon) on the second day of their reservation. All vehicles must possess or purchase upon arrival a valid entrance pass; weekly passes are $20.00. Acadia annuals are $40.00. No firearms or fireworks. *Pets must be leashed and not left unattended.* Fires in fire rings only. Firewood available in nearby communities. Quiet hours 10pm to 8am. Generator quiet hours 7 pm to 8am. Laundry available in nearby communities. Showers available 1/10 mile from campground entrance, hiking, swimming, picnicking, etc. General information available at campground kiosk and at park visitors centers. Can call for special request, but not a guarantee. Seawall campground is first-come / first-serve. Seawall phone # 207-244-3600. Shuttle bus is available from late June to mid October. Fishing; no license required to saltwater fish. In state fishing license is required for freshwater. Altitude: Sea level Limit 1 vehicle per site, all others must park in extra lot. Please bring confirmation information.
