About the Campground
Hood Creek Campground is located on the Bozeman Ranger District of the Gallatin National Forest, 17 miles south of Bozeman, Montana. The campground is adjacent to the Hyalite Reservoir at an elevation of 6700 feet. Some campsites are in open meadows along the reservoir; other sites are among scattered pine and fir trees. Roads and campsites spurs in the campground are gravel. Boat ramp and group picnic areas are in the campground.

Alerts and Important Information
Hood creek is scheduled for reconstruction summer 2010. Beginning July 6, 2010, the campground will not be available for reservations. It may be available on a first come, first serve basis. Please call (877) 646-1012 for further information.
Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.
Two non-towed vehicles may be parked per site; the first vehicle is included in the basic fee, the second vehicle is charged the extra fee.
A fee of $6.00 for an extra vehicle will be collected at the campground.
Maximum 2 vehicles and 8 people per single family site.
Sites may be available on a first come-first served basis outside and during the reservation season. Please call (877) 646-1012 for more details concerning the availability for this campground outside the reservation season.
