About the Campground
Wartrace Creek Recreation Area is located on Cordell Hull Lake approximately 9 miles from Gainsboro, TN. The lake itself was named for Cordell Hull, one of America's outstanding statesmen and one of Tennessee's finest volunteers who was born in the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains. Visitors here enjoy hunting, fishing, site seeing, and boating. One picnic shelter is available for reservation. Additional amenities include restrooms, a boat launch, playground, and swimming area.
